Overview

sxyhub.com ("Platform") uses algorithmic recommendation systems to help users discover content relevant to their interests. In compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and other applicable regulations, this page describes how our recommendation algorithms work and how you can control them.

How Our Recommendations Work

1. The "For You" Feed

Our primary recommendation feed uses the following signals:

  • Watch history: Videos you've watched, and how long you watched them.
  • Engagement signals: Videos you've liked, saved (bookmarked), or shared.
  • Category preferences: Categories you follow or have shown interest in.
  • Creator relationships: Creators you follow and have previously engaged with.
  • Content freshness: Newer content receives a time-decay weighted boost.
  • Community signals: Aggregate engagement from users with similar preferences.

The Trending feed is based on:

  • Rapid increases in views and engagement over the past 24–48 hours.
  • Geographic relevance (when location is available).
  • Category diversity to provide a broad discovery experience.

3. The "Following" Feed

This feed shows content exclusively from creators you follow, ordered chronologically (newest first).

What We Don't Use

Our recommendation system does not use:

  • Your real name, gender, or demographic data for profiling.
  • Private messages or direct communications.
  • Off-platform browsing loaderData.
  • Data from third-party data brokers.

Your Control Over Recommendations

Adjust Your Feed

  • Category Preferences: Go to Settings → Feed Preferences to increase or decrease specific category weights.
  • "More/Less of this": On any video, tap the three-dot menu to tell us you want more or less of that type of content.
  • Clear History: You can reset your recommendation profile at any time in Settings → Privacy → Clear Watch History.

Opt Out

You can switch from the algorithmic "For You" feed to:

  • Following: See only content from creators you follow.
  • Trending: See content based purely on aggregate popularity.

These contain no personalized recommendations.

Content Safety in Recommendations

Our recommendation system includes safety filters:

  • Content that has been reported but not yet reviewed is deprioritized.
  • Content from unverified uploaders may receive reduced distribution.
  • We do not recommend content that approaches our policy boundaries.

Transparency

We are committed to transparency about our recommendation systems:

  • This page is updated whenever significant changes are made to our algorithms.
  • We publish periodic reports on the impact of our recommendation systems.
